After months of repair, installation and the extraordinary support of our community, the Mariemont Theatre will once again light its marquee and open its doors. This Grand Reopening Gala marks the beginning of a new chapter - not only for one of America's most beloved historic cinemas, but for independent film in Cincinnati.

Date: Wednesday, September 16th
5:00pm Celebration in Mariemont
6:30pm Remarks and Ribbon Cutting
7:00pm Film Screening, presented by P&G, in the Mr. James Evans House (House 3) at the cinema
Presented as the Opening Night Celebration of the 2026 Cindependent Film Festival in partnership with LADD, the evening will revive the glamour, elegance, and excitement of a classic Hollywood premiere.
Guests will arrive for a pre-screening reception before taking their seats in the Theatre's beautifully tech-restored auditorium, generously patronized by Mr. James Evans, for an unforgettable Opening Night presentation.
The feature presentation and reception details will be announced soon. Before the main event, guests will enjoy a special screening of The Singers, Academy Award-winning short film from Cindependent alumnus Jack Piatt, who will be in attendance for this historic celebration.
