The Mariemont Theatre has long been more than a movie house.

As the theatre transitions into nonprofit stewardship under Cindependent, Friends of the Mariemont Theatre is the way neighbors, families, and civic leaders come together to care for its future - thoughtfully, responsibly, and for the long term.

As of July 2027 - Cindependent has announced that every member sign-up and transition donation will receive a special “I saved movie magic at the Mariemont Theatre” t-shirt. These tees will be distributed at a casual, celebratory gathering following the end of the Phase 1 Fundraising campaign. Please include your email address when donating. We’ll be in touch soon!
What Friends Receive
All Friends of the Mariemont Theatre receive:
Visible recognition of stewardship, including a window decal, an official Friends of the Mariemont Theatre tote, and name acknowledgment aligned with membership level
Biannual printed Stewardship Reports, offering clear updates, financial transparency, and progress on theatre care
Direct communication and accountability, including a stewardship letter and annual in-person briefing
In-theatre benefits, such as complimentary movie tickets and concession discounts, which will be introduced once the cinema’s transition is complete and operations responsibly resume
